Autoresponder - A Powerful Marketing Tool

Autoresponder - a Powerful Marketing Tool
How Aweber got paid for 6 month without any service delivered!

What is an autoresponder?A frequent procedure in internet business marketing is setting up a lead capture page and adding the lead to an autoresponder automatically or manually.

The purpose is to follow-up with your website visitors to catch their attention over a longer period of time. You can provide them with helpful information about your program, product or service helping them establish their presence on the net as an internet business entrepreneur.

With a good autoresponder you can setup a campaign with unlimited followup-letters.You pay a monthly fee and you´re ready to go.Now every time a customer visits your website and signs up for your newsletter providing his/her name and emailaddress he/she is added to the autoresponder´s system.

At first they tend to receive a confirmation message to reassure that they want to receive your newsletter. This might sound a bit complicated to a newcomer but it isn´tonce you get started. It saves you a heck of time and you can work on other marketing strategies while your new subscriber receives a follow-up messageevery few days.

Pipssite ownersAs a pipssite owner you will permanently hear: the power is in the list! And the biggest challenge to a newbie is to get a list and learn how to work it. Autoresponders have straight rules concerning spam. They have to. Spamming is ugly. Or would you want to receive mails from a company selling tennis rackets and actually you are playing golf? It´s useless!

There are various autoresponders available on the net. Stone recommends Getresponse and has it set up together with your puchase of a pipssite, you get a whole year of follow-ups together with your homepage for free. Have a look here:

And there´s Aweber, EmailAces, IntelliContact and RobotReply etc.
I did some research on autoresponders and came across this website where 5 autoresponders are compared on
- email deliverability- customer service- technology features
See for yourself at: http://autoresponders.com

Just take a look before you decide to open an account anywhere. I should have done that. It would have saved me lots of trouble, time and stress.
To make a long story short: After 3 weeks at Aweber they terminated my account without warning -overnight.
I had paid my membership for 6 months in advance and they refuse to refund any of it.Upon signing up they guaranteed a refund within 4 weeks without hassel if the customer (me) wasn´t satisfied with the service. I asked for refund and the answer was amazing:
We can´t give refunds on terminated accounts.Just imagine I had purchased for a whole year.

To the pipssiteowners among you:
I added the opt-in, highly targeted empowerism leads that we get for free every month to a campaign at aweber.(80) For 3 weeks all fine. Then all of a sudden I got a spam complaint and another one. At last I had 5. I tried to communicate with the helpdesk, telling them about my leads and that I had no idea why they hit the spam button. I never got any information about which customers were involved, the next thing I know - I got a message:
Your account has been terminated due to violation of our rules. We can´t give refunds on terminated accounts. blablabla...

If you read the information on http://autoresponders.com/aweber carefully you get a pretty good idea about Aweber´s business ethics which seem to be originating in greed instead of trustworthy entrepreneurship.

Some headlines from the website above:
a- how Aweber steals traffic from competitors
b- Aweber support
c- Aweber blocking and deliverability issues

I hope I´ve at least motivated a few of youto take a closer look at which autoresponder to use.

Needless to say I strongly recommend NOT to use Aweber.

Success to everybody who deserves it!
